Semifinal & Final Rounds
Semifinalists and alternates will be announced on March 15th, 2026 via email, social media, and on the Teupha website. If a semifinalist cannot attend, the alternate list will be consulted for the next person to be invited to attend and will be notified as soon as possible. We encourage ALL alternates to keep up their preparation of the competition pieces, in case semifinalists need to drop out of the competition.

The Semifinal and Final Rounds will be held on May 23rd-25th in the Austin, Texas area (host school TBD).

Semifinalists are responsible for preparing all required music for their division (for both semifinal and final rounds), both unaccompanied and accompanied pieces. Festival adjudicators will listen to and rate the performances at the Competition in live performance, but competitors are identified by letters and/or numbers, not by name. Semifinal performances are judged blind and are NOT open to the public.

During the Competition in May, contestants will be photographed and finalists will have their performances live streamed. All contestants will be required to sign a social media release form upon application. Semifinalists agree to Teupha’s use of photos, videos, and audio recordings during their participation in the competition.

Once an applicant is selected as a semifinalist, they are responsible for their own travel and accommodations. Teupha can provide transportation to/from local hotels to the Competition site on a case by case basis.

Final Round
Finalist competitors are announced on Sunday afternoon after the completion of the semifinal round. Finalists will have until the following day to polish and rehearse.
The finals will run from 12PM-2:30PM with awards being announced after a deliberation period following the final performer. All Festival adjudicators rate the final round competitors. The public is invited to attend all finals and the Festival will live stream them.
