Small Ensemble Competition

Overview

Teupha Week features a small ensemble competition/recital on Thursday, June 15th. There is no cost to enter, but all participants must be registered for Teupha Week. Each ensemble will receive a FREE 30 minute coaching from one of the Teupha Faculty. Ensembles may contain any mix of 2-6 euphonium/tuba players. There is no required repertoire, but the performance should be under 7 minutes. If you would like to participate but don't have an ensemble to play with, you can indicate that on the Teupha Week registration form, and we'll try to help you find an ensemble.

Grand Prize

Grand Prize: Each ensemble member will receive a $100 Teupha Scholarship and $50 cash

FAQ
  • What age is this camp appropriate for?
This camp is for current 6th-12th graders. We have ensembles suitable for players of all ability levels, including beginning band students.
  • Is this an outdoor camp?
In previous years we have done this camp fully outdoors in a park pavilion. This year the ensembles will rehearse indoors, but many of the games/activities will still take place outside if the weather permits.
  • Is lunch or dinner provided?
Students should eat lunch before arriving at the camp. There will be two snack breaks throughout the day where students can eat snacks that they bring from home. Students will not have access to a refrigerator or microwave. Dinner will consist of cheese and pepperoni pizzas served at 6:15PM before the concert.
  • What are the details for the concert?
The concert will be in the Cedar Ridge HS auditorium beginning at 7:00 and lasting until approximately 7:30. Students will wear their camp T-Shirt for the performance.
  • I have a question that I can't find an answer to.
