
Hunter Bellows
Biography
Hunter Bellows is a native of Austin, Texas. He is currently completing coursework towards the Master of Music Degree in Euphonium Performance and Chamber Music at the University of Michigan. He received a Bachelor of Music Education Degree from Baylor University in 2025.
As a student, Hunter is a member of the University of Michigan Symphony Band and the University of Michigan Euphonium-Tuba Ensemble. He has also performed with the Baylor Wind Ensemble and the Baylor Euphonium-Tuba Ensemble.
As a performer, Hunter has won first place in national and international competitions, including the Leonard Falcone International Euphonium and Tuba Competition (Artist and Student divisions), International Tuba-Euphonium Conference Small Ensemble Competition, South Central Regional Tuba-Euphonium Conference Euphonium Artist and Small Ensemble Competitions, and the Virtual Tuba-Euphonium Conference Young Artist Competition. Hunter has also been featured as a finalist in the Baylor University Concerto Competition.
As an educator, Hunter has taught private tuba and euphonium lessons in both Central Texas and Michigan. He currently teaches privately in Ann Arbor Public Schools and Plymouth-Canton Educational Park.
His primary teachers include David Zerkel, Kent Eshelman, and Brett Blackstone.
